Glory Road Ministries was organized in 1974 with the purpose to lead others to Jesus Christ, who we firmly believe died for our sins, so that we may have eternal life just as it proclaims in John 3:16.  God has truly blessed our ministry by allowing us to sing in 10 different states and to make eight different recordings.  We have had the privilege to host several concerts on the Belle of Louisville, many local concerts at the Otis Park Bandshell, and the Kingsmen/Carolina Boys concert for thirty straight years.

    The late Kenneth Deckard, Sr. and his wife, Elizabeth, founded the group in 1974 with Bill & Jeanette Kern.  Although Kenny has recently gone home to be with the Lord, Elizabeth continues to sing a limited part on the programs. In addition to Elizabeth, founding member Richard Deckard, who started on lead guitar and moved to singing in baritone and lead in 1980, continues to sing with the group.  His wife, Shaunna, plays the keyboard and sings lead and alto.  The group is rounded out by Richard and Shaunna's sons, Jacob, on bass guitar, and Joseph, on lead and rhythm guitar, as well as vocals.
